How to commission bespoke - A 3 Step Guide to Commissioning Bespoke Furniture

1. The Initial Meeting

Visit our showroom and factory in Farnham to discuss your project with our designers. There are no commissions too large or small for us to consider. You will be able to see examples of our previous work and even work in progress at the factory.

If you have sketches or pictures of what you are looking for, please bring them along so we can build up an accurate profile of the design.

At this stage our designers will be able to gauge the initial concepts of your project. If appropriate we can organise a site visit to measure up and check sizes and dimensions.

We will then be able to work on the design brief.

2. The Design

Our design team will produce sketches and drawings of the proposed design. For larger or more complex projects a design fee will be charged but will be waived if you proceed with the commission.

Concurrently we will discuss materials and finishes which you can view at our showroom. Once all the details are agreed and the design finalised, we will be able to quote you the price of the commission.

With your final approval we will require a 50% deposit and will then commence work on your project.

3. The Manufacturing

All our craftsmen have traditional English cabinet making skills and combine these, with the convenience and precision of modern, high tech machinery, to create your commission. During the manufacturing process, you will be able to view your work in progress at our factory. This will enable you to see the quality of our work and also make any changes you deem necessary.

Once the work is near completion we ask customers to come in and view their furniture. At this point we can still make detail alterations required. We will then ask them to sign off on final approval and, once the final balance is paid, we will arrange for delivery and installation.
